This applies for all prescription and over the counter medication.  Over the counter medications include: Tylenol, Advil, cough and cold medications, etc.  State law requires strict compliance with this policy in order for medications to be given.
- All medication must be in the original bottles or containers, labeled with child’s name, name of medication and dosage.  No medication is to be brought in unlabeled or placed in a baggy.
- All medication to be administered during school hours must be kept in the health office and must be administered by the nurse.  Students are not allowed to dispense their own medication.  If the above procedures are not followed, medications cannot be given.
- In complying with the district regulation, 5330, Administration of Medication, section E, all medications must be delivered to the school by the parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
