Introduction Letter from our new Superintendent, Stephanie Bonaparte

  • Dear North Haledon School Community,

North Haledon has a long standing tradition of being a close knit community, focused on providing the very best education for students. This is one of the many reasons I am honored to introduce myself as your next Superintendent of Schools.

As an educator for 21 years, I bring with me 11 years’ experience as a classroom teacher and 10 years’ experience in district leadership. I completed my undergraduate degree in Education at William Paterson University and a master’s degree in School Leadership, Policy and Management at Seton Hall University. Over the last decade, I have served in K-6 and K-8 regional districts as an Assistant Principal, Middle School Principal and Superintendent. Within these roles, I also served as the district leader for curriculum, special education and technology. In addition, I have served on numerous state committees dedicated to enhancing education and I have worked with local legislators to advocate for children and families in our public schools. As an educational leader, my goals are deeply rooted in the belief that all students are entitled to a challenging, well-rounded and individualized school experience.

Over the next several months, I will be working with the Board of Education and current Administration to ensure a smooth transition. Additionally, I look forward to visiting the schools and attending events to meet parents, students and educators as I continue learning more about the North Haledon community.

    Sincerely,

    Stephanie Bonaparte
